Brightwell Aquatics AngeLixir is a targeted food enrichment solution developed for marine species that require sponge-based diets. It contains a unique blend of free-form amino acids in the same ratios found in natural sponge tissue, as well as marine-derived proteins to boost the nutritional value of frozen and prepared foods. This supplement is especially useful for angelfish, butterflyfish, Moorish idols, and other sponge-feeding fish, which can be difficult to acclimate to captive diets.
Transitioning fish into new aquarium environments is often stressful, and many fish will refuse food during the first 7–10 days. This can quickly lead to weight loss, weakened condition, and greater sensitivity to environmental changes. AngeLixir enhances the flavor and protein content of food, increasing the chances that these fish will begin eating promptly after arrival.
Designed to be used as a soak, AngeLixir can be applied to frozen, freeze-dried, or pellet foods. It absorbs quickly and should be used with each feeding for best results. It’s especially beneficial for feeding multiple times per day during acclimation periods. Though not a substitute for proper care, it can significantly increase feeding success and help restore body mass in fish that have declined during transport or from previous malnutrition.
AngeLixir is shelf-stable, does not require refrigeration, and is formulated based on sponge tissue studies and marine aquaculture data. Use it to support tissue repair, growth, and feeding behavior in sponge-dependent fish species.
DIRECTIONS
Shake Well Before Each Use
Use with frozen, freeze-dried, or pellet food.
For Frozen Foods:
1. Thaw food and rinse with cold water.
2. Press out excess water.
3. Place in clean bowl or cup.
4. Add just enough AngeLixir to saturate food.
5. Let soak for 5 minutes.
6. Feed directly into aquarium.
For Pellet or Dry Foods:
1. Place dry food in a clean container.
2. Add only enough AngeLixir to saturate.
3. Wait 5 minutes.
4. Feed into aquarium.
