Brightwell Aquatics Shrimp BlackWater Clear is a shrimp-safe, copper-free blackwater supplement designed to replicate the soft, acidic, and nutrient-rich conditions of tropical forest streams. By adding natural humic and fulvic substances, it improves water chemistry, boosts nutrient bioavailability, and helps create a more stable, natural environment for freshwater shrimp, plants, and fish.
Humic acids help make essential minerals like iron, calcium, magnesium, and zinc more accessible to plants. This supports healthier plant growth and enhances the effectiveness of plant nutrient products already used in the system. In shrimp and fish tanks, it can also help simulate the chemical cues of the rainy season—especially useful for encouraging spawning in species like Discus, Cardinal Tetras, and dwarf shrimp.
The solution gently softens water and slightly reduces pH, with minimal darkening compared to traditional blackwater extracts. It's ideal for use in aquascapes, biotope tanks, and breeding setups. For best results, it should be dosed daily to maintain stable water chemistry. Avoid using aggressive chemical filtration during use, as this can remove beneficial compounds.

DIRECTIONS
Basic Use:
1. Shake well before using.
2. Add 2 ml per 6–10 gallons, twice weekly.
3. For daily use, add 6 drops per 20 gallons per day.
4. Adjust dosing after 3–5 weeks based on plant and livestock response.
To Encourage Spawning:
5. Increase daily dose to 6 drops per 10 gallons over 6 days.
6. Maintain that dose until spawning concludes.
7. Reduce back to standard dose after hatching.
8. Add full-system dose to water change water daily for best results.
9. Increase temperature and live foods to enhance effectiveness.
10. Avoid aggressive filtration while dosing (carbon is okay).
