Brightwell Aquatics Macrovore is a premium suspension of marine crustacean roe designed to meet the specialized feeding needs of reef aquarium livestock. Sourced from North American marine species, this natural food is enriched with essential amino acids, omega-3-rich marine oils, and vitamins that support immune system function and color enhancement.
The particle size range (~0.7–1.2 mm) is ideal for feeding anemones, LPS corals, gorgonians, and both solitary and colonial polyps—especially at night when their feeding tentacles are fully extended. Macrovore is also readily accepted by planktivorous fish and other species with fine or specialized feeding behaviors, such as seahorses.
Unlike typical dry foods, Macrovore mirrors the nutritional profile of natural zooplankton and organic matter consumed on the reef. Its rich formula delivers more nutrition per dose, supporting better growth and helping reduce the frequency and quantity of feeding required—thus maintaining better water quality in the aquarium.
Macrovore is shelf-stable and does not require refrigeration, though cool storage will extend vitamin activity. Use it as a targeted coral feed at night or for broad dispersal in community tanks. Whether you're feeding corals or finicky fish, Macrovore simplifies feeding and improves long-term results in both freshwater and marine aquariums.
DIRECTIONS
Before Feeding:
Shake bottle well. Turn off protein skimmers and mechanical filters. Wait 10–15 minutes after feeding before restarting.
Target Feeding (Corals & Anemones):
1. Mix Macrōvore 50/50 with aquarium water.
2. Use a pipette, syringe, or rigid tubing to feed.
3. Slowly release food 2–4" upstream of coral or anemone.
4. Feed at night after lights have been off for 1–2 hours.
5. Rinse feeding tools—do not return anything to the bottle.
Feeding Tips:
● Feed anemones when fully inflated.
● Daily small feedings are better than infrequent large ones.
● Use CoralAmino or Restor before feeding to improve response.
Broadcast Feeding (Fishes & Inverts):
1. Start with up to 2.5 ml per 50 gallons every other day.
2. Increase gradually as aquarium adjusts.
3. Avoid overfeeding to maintain water quality.
