Brightwell Aquatics NitratR is a next-generation regenerable nitrate adsorption resin designed for both freshwater and marine aquariums. Built from high-durability synthetic polymer beads, it provides superior flow and long contact time to remove excess nitrate efficiently. Ideal for fluidized-bed filters, canisters, or mesh bags in sump or hang-on-back filters. Use it continuously or as needed when nitrate levels begin to rise. DIRECTIONS
1. Rinse resin by pouring 4 quarts of freshwater through 500ml of media.
2. For basic use, treat 100 gallons to remove 20 ppm nitrate.
3. Place in canister, reactor, or mesh filter bag.
4. For passive use, turn bag occasionally to improve flow.
5. Use a pre-filter to block solid waste for better performance.
6. Remove when nitrate stops decreasing or begins increasing.
7. To regenerate, dissolve 4 cups salt in 1 gallon of water.
8. Soak resin overnight, stir occasionally.
9. Rinse thoroughly with freshwater before reuse.
10. Never use bleach for regeneration.
