Brightwell Aquatics Purit is a next-generation chemical filtration media designed to drastically improve water quality in reef, planted, and fish-only aquariums. It combines enhanced activated carbon with NSF-grade ion-exchange and adsorptive resins, delivering superior filtration performance compared to traditional carbon alone.
Purit works fast to remove chloramines, ammonia, nitrate, phosphate, silicate, copper, lead, and other unwanted substances from your water. It also helps reduce organic waste, improves oxidation-reduction potential (ORP), eliminates discoloration, and neutralizes odors caused by decaying organics.
Ideal for systems with high bioloads or nutrient input, Purit keeps your aquarium water crystal clear and healthier for fish, corals, and plants. Whether used in a canister filter for rapid results or passively in a mesh bag for long-term maintenance, Purit is engineered to outperform.
Use it during startup, after treatments, or as part of ongoing nutrient control. Unlike some filtration media, Purit will not disintegrate or release trapped substances back into your tank. With proper use, it offers up to six months of continuous performance—making it an efficient and cost-effective solution for maintaining water clarity and overall aquarium health.
DIRECTIONS
1. Rinse Purit with fresh water before first use.
2. Use 100 ml per 25 gallons for up to 6 months.
3. For best results, use in canister filters initially.
4. Flow should be slow and steady, not turbulent.
5. Avoid high-flow or fluidized media beds.
6. Use pre-filter to remove solids before water reaches Purit.
7. In passive use, place in 150-micron mesh bag.
8. Place mesh bag in low to medium flow area.
9. Turn bag weekly to improve performance.
10. Replace Purit when water clarity declines or discoloration returns.
